Our Programs

2007 - Ready to Continue Our Steps Forward

All Golf’s Kids 2007 plans and initiatives include:

1)    Formation of the Magic Woods Golf Club, a golf club without real estate, with 500-1000 adult members projected by the end of 2008 (kids will be able to join for free). 

2)   5,000 kids (cumulative) projected to attend USGA, PGA, Champions, and LPGA Tour Events and visit private country clubs - Wykagyl (LPGA Big Apple), Winged Foot (US Open 2006), Westchester (Barclay's Classic), Commerce LI Classic, and other events & venues.

3)    Renew & develop program partnerships (e.g. Boys/Girls Clubs, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Big Bros/Big Sisters, Children’s Aid, Fresh Air Fund, United Way, high schools, middle schools, etc.

4)    Volunteers thru VolunteerMatch (over 250  volunteer inquiries since 1999).

5)    1-Day (or more) kids’ golf outing at Doral Arrowood, plus special groups of talented kids.

6)    Possible Higher-Education Scholarship Program via Scholarship America & perhaps "Chick Evans”- scholarships, caddie scholarships - and support for Westchester Caddie Scholarship Fund.

7)    Diversity Initiatives: we were instrumental in assisting 2 fund-raising golf outings for Riverdale Country School’s support of SummerBridge: a tuition-free, year-round enrichment program for low-income kids from surrounding communities.

8)    Increased participation and invitations by private golf and country clubs for groups of less-fortunate, deserving kids -- primarily Tuesday-Friday with invitations from women and retiree members and member-guests.

9)    Expand Golf-Based Educational Curriculum (Golf/Math, History, Poetry, Geography, Physics, and Science) & Essay Contests

10)  New programs to assist other charities and non-profits in enriching the lives of "disadvantaged", underserved kids.

  • More than 5,000 (cumulative) "disadvantaged", at-promise AGK kids & event chaperones to attend PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, and USGA Golf Tournaments, including: Barclay's Classic (Westchester CC, June); LPGA Big Apple Classic (Wykagyl CC, May); Yale Sports Youth Day (Yale Bowl, September); US Open, Met Amateur, etc.
  • Indoor Golf Simulators-"Skills for Life" Character Development Modules
  • Adult guidance, mentoring, & tutoring programs with golf as the "link" between private club member-golfers and less-privileged, "at-promise" students
  • 2 Event Outings for Virgil Grissom (MS 226Q) to Bethpage State Park in the Spring 2002; Essay Contests and Golf/Education curriculum provided;
  • Possible "Assist, challenge & reward" scholarship programs to be administered by Scholarship America ... Trustee via separate account
  • "The Making of A Golf Pro" Initiative for selected junior-golfers showing exceptional promise
  • Possible internships (jobs) -Golf & Non-Golf via the support of private club members
  • Year-Round Golf & Golf-Allied Programs for Kids
  • Golf instruction and golf course play program-based as per invitations and structured arrangements at ranges and courses (golf instructional supplements on-site) ... special kids group invitations at private golf & country clubs from members
  • Less-fortunate kids to possibly participate at charity & fund-raising golf tournaments
  • Golf/math, golf/reading, golf/history, golf/science, golf/social studies curriculae
  • Information links to advance existing programs ...e.g.,  "Golfworks" (summer youth employment at private country clubs) Tiger Woods' Foundation's "Start Something" program
  • Program partnership initiatives for national non-profit groups such as, possibly, the Tiger Woods' Foundation's "Start Something" program, over 300,000(e) participants and National Center For Fathering based in Kansas City, 120,000(e) students participating in essay contests
  • Westchester County golf courses/towns, Nassau golf courses/towns and NYC Parks golf courses to expand access and program coordination

At the Invitation of the PGA Tour ...

All Golf's Kids arranged for 250 under-privileged kids & event chaperones from 17 NYC and Westchester schools community groups to attend the 2002 Buick Classic (PGA Tour Event) Westchester CC, Harrison, NY  Mon- Wed .. including 100 kids for instructional clinic conducted in Spanish! By PGA Tour Pros Sergio Garcia, Jose-Maria Olazabel, Angel Cabreras and Miguel Jiminez
